Collaborating with the Lawrence Berkley National Laboratory on a visual analytics platform, monumental for National Climate Assessment (NCA) report, that supports data-driven decision making based on the localized constructed analogs (LOCA), refined for global climate models.Exploratory Visual Analytics Approach for Downscaled Climate Projections, 2020-2022
Developed a novel visual analytics approach to enable climate scientists to explore massive climate projection data interactively, which introduces more effective approaches to support the identification of trends and patterns in climate projections and their subsequent impacts.
Funded by National Science Foundation (NSF) under the Data Infrastructure Building Blocks Program.Interactive Visualizations for Learning Health Fairness and Environmental Justice, 2022
Developed an interactive visualization interface with a machine learning consensus analysis that enables the researchers to explore the impact of atmospheric and socioeconomic factors on COVID-19 clinical severity by employing multiple Geometric Deep Learning (GDL) models.
Funded by NASA under the Advanced Information Systems Technology (AIST) Program.Evaluating the Usability of Contour-based Interactive Geospatial Visualization in Exploratory Analysis Tasks, 2022
Conducted a user intervention study and quantitative evaluation of the interactive features implemented for the contour-based geospatial visualization, an essential tool for exploring spatiotemporal data in various research domains (e.g., climate change, urban planning).
Funded By the Department of Computer Science, College of Computing & Informatics, UNC Charlotte.Visual Analytics to Study Weather Data for Accurate Energy Demand Predictions, 2020-2022
Developed an interactive visualization interface collaborating with the structural engineering researchers to help understand the role of microclimate data on building energy simulations, and what impacts it has on energy-efficient buildings and cleaner environment.
Funded by National Science Foundation (NSF) under the Data Infrastructure Building Blocks Program.Convergence Accelerator for Building the Federalism Data and Advanced Statistics Hub, 2019-2022
Designed a visual analytics interface collaborating with the political scientists that support interactive exploration of state policy diffusion and historical election results in the United States house and senate.
Funded by NSF under the Convergence Accelerator (CA-HDR) Program.Visual Analytics for Enhanced Decision-Making and Situational Awareness in Modern Distribution Systems, 2019-2020
Collaborated with the Electric Power Board of Chattanooga to implement an interactive system that integrates data from advanced metering infrastructure and geographic information systems and enables operators to visualize and analyze the state of the distribution system over time.
Funded by NSF under the Energy Power Control Networks Program.
